Event Super1 Round 1 First Practise
Into my first Super 1 meeting, and my first meeting with race team Tal-
I got my hands on my new kart for the first time. Straight away into first practise session, I was on it. It handled so much better than anything I have ever driven before, it was so easy to drive! I was immediately close to the front runners. Only 0.1 off Sean Babington! Will and Max also got their first taste of the new karts. Will was only 0.2/0.3 off Sean, but Max struggled with the new kart at the start but was on the pace quickly.
The sessions on the Friday were in mixed conditions, some dry, damp, wet. A mix of everything. In all sessions I was on the pace just as quick as the two main front runners Tommy Truscott and Sean Babington. In the dry their best times were 45.35 And MINE WAS 45.45! I was amazed off how close I was to the front. Will and Max were also up there at the front, Will was only 0.2 off and Max was 0.3 off!
In the wet, the kart was even better, I was fastest in the wet session on the Friday. Which was our last session.
Alan Turney and Glenn seemed to be very impressed with all of us after the first days work :D

Event Super1 Round 1 Second Practise
Back for the official Super 1 practise, we got our control fuel and official numbers. We set out for the sessions as normal.
Again in the dry, I was well on it. Always within a tenth of the quickest runners in every session.
Again like the Friday, it rained. Over half the grid didn’t have time to change to wets, but half of us did, including me, Max , Will, Carly, Tommy and four others. Me, Will and Max were well quick! passing the others on wets like they were standing still. I thought I was flying. When I came in I found out Will was quickest! Well Done mate, you got it sorted in the wet! :D
The final session in the dry was exciting I had a battle with Tommy and Carly at the front, it was just us three out at the front, each one of us passing another every lap! It was amazing! Tommy just pipped my best lap by 0.08!
All of the team was confident going into race day.

Event Super1 Round 1 Race day
Unfortunately the meeting was abandoned due to awful weather conditions and poor visibility after two people had very nasty accidents.
Although we are all looking forward to Larkhall. Up to Scotland hope it doesn’t SNOW AGAIN!
