Event  Super1 Round 2 First Practise

First practise to get used to the track went well picked it up very quickly and on the pace. As the day went it there was mixture of wet and dry intervals I was either 1st or 2nd in the wet and in the top 5 in the dry sessions. Topping the times 3 times in total

All three of us in the Tal-Ko team were on the pace all of us in the top 5. So we were really fancying our chances from here.

Event  Super1 Round 2 Second Practise

Saturday was dry pretty much all day with us all again being right on the pace. Each of us in the awning shared a quickest time in a session. The test day did have one very interesting twist to it. Half way through a session, the rain poured down and the track turned to sheet ice, there was a train of 6 of us coming down towards the double apex right hander, we all braked but slid right into the bark plenty more followed us there was about 12 of us in there. I managed to get going with a quick twist of the carb to adjust tick over, Will also got out, Max was lucky! He was one of the only ones that made it round the corner

After really good times in practises we were all looking forward to the race and score some big points.

Event  Super1 Round 2 Raceday

The day was hot from start to finish with 28 degrees being the hottest at the end of racing.

For Heat 1 I started 5th got up to 4th but got turned into by number 39 bumping me down to 13th place, I fought back up to 10th at the flag. I was quicker than 5 people infront of me, that heat could have been much better, Will came 3rd after a great race for him, Max came behind me.

For Heat 2 I started 12th and had a rocket start, got to 7th place and climbing got to 6th after taking Fraser O’Brien, coming down into the double apex right hander he smacked me from behind not even braking the total arsehole! I was livid after falling down to almost last! I was running on RED MIST eventually coming 7th after some pretty banzai moves, Max came behind me in 8th and Will came 10th after suffering a nasty accident with no 77.

Heat 3 I started 4th and was there all the way up behind Carly, I tried to find a way past but she defended at every chance. I came 3rd in the end with Will finishing in 7th and Max in 8th.

The final I started 5th will started 4th and Max started 7th, unfortunately Max’s engine stalled on the warm up lap. At the start it was pretty hecktic Will got squezzed down from 4th to 6th and I got knocked down to 7th, I took Will at the first harpin into 6th. Next lap I took C plate for 5th with Will following, up ahead Carly and Tommy had a battle Tommy taking Carly, I then took Carly into the last corner. I then got my head down to try and catch Tommy I did and tried to get past it was so hard to pass him, he seemed to have the widest kart in the world, he defended so well, I think now I should have tried to lunge it and try to get 4th but its abit late now. I eventually finished 5th right behind Tommy, Will came 6th after taking Carly. Overall a great weekend although if If I could have had a better first heat I could have been 4th in the Championship but oh well plenty more rounds to go. Joint 4th in Championship 145 points
