Event Super1 Round 5 First Practise
Round 5 of the British Championship was held at Ellough Park Raceway in Beccles, Suffolk. Quite a long trek for this round. Was all worth it in the end :) Friday I was immediately on the pace ending fastest of the day with a 44.27 on old rubber :)

Event Super1 Round 5 Second Practise and raceday
Saturday was more of the same. Very very fast, consistant and well prepared for the
heats. 44.24 in practise was very good :) For the 1st heat, I started 9th and made
good progress getting through the pack chasing down the leading pair after a bit
of traffic, I set the lap record on the way to 3rd place. A good way to end the Saturday.
Lap record 44.01
Heat 2 on the Sunday, I started 6th, had a good start and had good
pace, I was in a race long battle for the lead with Cavan Corcoran for the lead.
He defended well and I couldn't make a move untill number 10 did a banzai move nearly
taking all of us out on the last lap, meaning I finished 3rd, but with the fastest
lap of 44.32
Heat 3 I started from Pole, my first of the year in a heat :)
I had a
great start and pulled away from everyone for a nice lights to flag victory. Also
with fastest lap again :) 44.33

Heat 4 I started 6th again, there was a lot of contact in the first few corners dropping
me down to 7th, allowing people from the back to get through, for the rest of the
race I picked off people one by one till I got up to second again behind Cav he defended
really well I tried a switchback move on the last corner and nearly took the win.
He won by 0.08 :) very close. I was again fastest with a 44.39.
I earned myself pole
for the final with a 1st, a 2nd and two 3rds in the heats. Will was alongside me
on the front row in 2nd, Cav was starting 3rd and Luke 4th. Max had a torrid time,
everything that could go wrong for him did and he unfortunately had to start down
in 9th.
The final started well, I had a brilliant start from pole taking an early advantage. For the first 12 laps I stretched my gap a bit doing consistant 44.4s. After lap 14 however, the kart began to grip up and I lost time, Cav then started to close on me a lot as I struggled under braking and with grip. I defended from him hard maintaining 1st untill the flag winning my second S1 race of the season, punching the air with delight.
I earned 192 points this weekend the most anyone had accumulated this year in Junior
4 Stroke. It made up for last weeks disappointment after achieving 2nd then being
disqualified. I have brought myself well back into contention for 2nd place in the
championship as I am now currently 3rd overall, 3 points behind 2nd on dropped rounds.
Will is almost guaranteed to be champion as he is simply too far ahead, he was unlucky
not to have wrapped it up this weekend. Hopefully Max can have a good last round
and we can have a Tal-
